Planning support in the Crowsnest Pass

Miistakis' journey to support planning in rural municipalities continued with a focus on the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass. Together with the Oldman River Regional Services Commission (ORRSC) we used MLUST (Municipal Land Use Suitability Tool) to determine where the most suitable areas are for residential, commercial, and industrial development. Suitability was prioritized for these development types by avoiding areas with high ecological or cultural value. This work was generously funded by Shell Legacy Grant and Municipality of Crowsnest Pass.
