Vison 2030 - Building ENGO Capacity for a Greener Future

As part of the Vision 2030 ENGO Leadership Team, Danah recently participated in the Sustainability Network's Vision 2030 gathering, a follow-up to the original convening held in June 2022. Vision 2030 is a national initiative that brings together environmental non-profits and collaborators to explore how Canada's environmental movement can strengthen its collective impact in the face of complex and urgent challenges. The initiative focuses on building shared purpose, deepening collaboration, and identifying strategic pathways to a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient future by the year 2030.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to connect with peers across Canada, share insights from our work in western Canada and learn from others' experiences in areas such as climate action, biodiversity protection, and Indigenous-led conservation. As a science-based organization with a strong commitment to community engagement, Miistakis values the emphasis Vision 2030 places on systems thinking, equity, and cross-sector partnerships. By participating in this initiative, we hope to help shape a stronger, more connected environmental community that can collectively respond to the pressing environmental challenges of our time.
