Grassland Stewardship Conservation Programming

Working with the Ranchers Stewardship Alliance, Nature Saskatchewan and Prairie Trust, Miistakis is part of a partnership project to evaluate payment for ecological services programs and certification programs around the world that support both conservation of natural habitat and livestock operations. Funding was provided from the Commission for Environmental Cooperation. The long term goal is to develop and pilot appropriate and effective programs that will be successful for both agricultural producers and conservation objectives.
